Dr. Mark Baucom  

Dr. Mark F. Baucom, M.D.

Dr. Mark Baucom completed his undergraduate degree with induction into Phi Beta Kappa at Emory University in 1986 then earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in 1990. After participating in a one-year Transitional Program Internship also at Emory, Dr. Baucom performed a residency in Dermatology at Emory where he served as Chief Resident during his final year of training. He earned Board Certification for Dermatology from the American Board of Dermatology in 1994 before being awarded the prestigious Mohs surgery fellowship with Dr. John A. Zitelli in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from 1994 to 1995. Returning to private practice in Atlanta following the Mohs fellowship, Dr. Baucom established this outpatient practice specializing in Mohs surgery, reconstruction and dermatologic cosmetic procedures. He has served for more than 10 years as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Emory and regularly works with dermatology residents and medical students. He has lectured on the topics of liposuction and advanced surgical reconstruction. Dr. Baucom is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and raised in the Southeast.

Dr. David Pharis  

Dr. David B. Pharis, M.D.

Dr. David Pharis completed his undergraduate degree at Purdue University earning a Bachelor of Science with distinction in 1992. He earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1996 with highest distinction and honored as the Debakey Scholar as the top student in his graduating class. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine at Baylor, Dr. Pharis performed a residency in Dermatology at Emory University in Atlanta where he served as Chief Resident during his final year of training. He earned Board Certification for Dermatology from the American Board of Dermatology in 2000 before completing his Mohs surgery and advanced facial reconstruction Fellowship under Drs. John Zitelli and David Brodland, considered the top Mohs fellowship training program in the country. In 2001, Dr. Pharis entered private practice; joining Dr. Baucom here in Atlanta where he also serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Emory University and works regularly with dermatology residents and medical students. Dr Pharis has lectured both locally and nationally on the subject of Mohs surgery and has published numerous articles both nationally and internationally as well textbook chapters on the subject of Mohs surgery, skin cancer and advanced facial reconstruction. Dr. Pharis is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in numerous locations here in the U.S. and overseas.
